David Claude Sullins Sr., age 78, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, April 30, 2022. David was born February 17, 1944 to Elmer and Mildred (Bandy) Sullins whom have preceded him in death along with his siblings, Rosemary Eisenhauer, Jim and Johnny Sullins.
David leaves behind his loving wife, Virginia and his children and step children, Brian (Mary Moscotta) Zielinski, Michelle (Frank Goudsmit) Zielinski, Jill Sullins, David (Teressa) Sullins, JR., John Haus, Brenda (Jay) Hooker, Patricia (John) Sindel, Kristine (Lucas) Haus. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert Sullins and nine grandchildren along with three great grandchildren.
David enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, he spent time through his life as a spectator watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He loved watching football the most and would often share any stats on the game to anyone who would listen. David and Virginia spent time traveling to many places when they could. Some of David’s hobbies included horse racing, gambling and playing cards.
David was also a proud veteran of the UNITED STATES MARINE CORP.
A Gathering of family and friends for David will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A Memorial Service will occur following the Gathering at 12:30 PM, followed by a committal service with Military Honors at 1:30 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, Jefferson Barracks, MO 63125.
