Words can’t express how much Dotsy meant to me, and how much she’ll be missed. It’s like the difference between a clear lake in the mountains and the words used to describe it. My first memory of Dotsy is when my brother Pat and I were riding in her convertible after she took us to Ten Commandments when we were kids. We went back to her home, and I remember being excited when she played My Fair Lady. Dotsy had so much spirit and energy, and a way of expressing herself with charm, tact, and clarity. She was a great traveling companion with my Mom – bringing the Austin America out to Los Angeles one summer when I worked there, going to Denver and Mesa Verde, visiting my family’s second home in New Hampshire, traveling to Ireland with siblings, and traveling to Norway, Sweden, and Russia. I remember Dotsy and Chuck visiting my Beacon Hill home 25 years ago or so, walking up part of the hill and then up 2 ½ flights of steps. She was tired, but she kept her spirit. Dotsy always made me feel relaxed and energized. She left great memories, positive karma, and wonderful children. We won’t forget her.
