On October 19, 1946 he married the former Gail Mathis in Salem, MO.
Rev. Barton retired as the pastor of Hope Assembly of God Church after 29 years of service.
Loving husband of Gail Barton; dear father of Danny Joe (Cathy) Barton and the late Mark Barton; beloved brother of Eldon (Claudette) Barton; dear uncle, cousin, and friend.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, at Friendship Assembly of God Church, 323 Marceau. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. and from 9:00 A.M. Thursday, until service time at the church. Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday at the Boss Cemetery, Boss, MO.
Memorial donations in Rev. Barton’s honor may be left to Friendship Assembly of God Church.
