The story you always loved to tell was when we were on the schoolbus to kindergarten, and you defended me against the 6th grade boys who were making fun of my “boy” name. From that day on, you were always my biggest defender. You were my most loyal friend, a person who I could spend day after day after day with, staying out late with in the summers, watching Rocky Horror Picture Show 1,000 times with (I will never like it, sorry). You cooked dinners for me, and then we drove around in your mini-van, laughing and having fun. Sometimes many months went by without us talking, but when I reached out to you, you were always there to meet me, to talk to me and to love me. I will miss you, my dear friend Elizabeth.
