Emil Ernie Klecka, age 72, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. Emil was born December 14, 1948 in St. Louis, MO to the late Emil and Mary Ann (nee Baca) Klecka; Beloved husband of Delores Jean Klecka (nee Meyer); loving father of Pamela Jean Emms, Christine Mare Dasher and Michael Timothy Dasher; loving grandfather of Danielle Haislar, Nicole Howard, Ashley Menke, Tori Dasher and Nina Dasher; brother of Daniel Klecka, Donna Nye and Sandra Mauer.
Emil was the Past Commander of the American Legion Post # 525, Past Commander of the VFW Post # 877. He was an American Legion District Commander, Chef de Gare Passe Voiture Local #38 in 2000, Legionnaire of the year in 2003 and President St. Louis Past Commander Club in 2005.
A visitation for Emil will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
