I met Frank when I first moved to St. Louis in the early 70s.  A few years later, when I married his godson, Harold Simpson, he became Uncle Frank.  He and Aunt Ruth always made me feel loved as if I was born into the Shultz Girls tribe.  He was the last of that generation and now the torch belongs to our generation.  I know the loving ways he (and Ruth) demonstrated,especially in his later years, are a model for us to follow. He has graduated to whatever it is that comes next.  Enjoy, Uncle Frank.  We love you.

A Note from his son to his Father: 


My dad went through life making me proud that he was my father. He lived life with guidance to make the right decisions. God blessed me with a dad that was a role model and my mentor.  As a mentor and role-model, he and God helped me make the right decisions through life.

He was more than a father and dad; he was one of my best friends.  I will always miss him.  I will always be thinking of him.  I also know he will still be there for me with his soul mate, my mother watching with God guiding me through life.  There are no words to describe how much he will be missed. I was honored to be chosen the son of a great man.

If God was to come to me and say " What parents would you like to have. I have all sorts of parents and you are going to be blessed to have a choice ?" I would have not choosen anyone but the two parents, loving and carring parents, that I was blessed with by God. People say "what a beautiful life they had.....". He was a very unique man who gave love to everyone he knew. A real true gentlemen! I have countless memories of spending time with him and Ruth and my grandparents that I'll never forget. Thank you Uncle Frank.

I will miss my very favorite uncle who was like a second father to me and my very favorite World War II Hero. But I have so many wonderful memories of special times we all shared together as family.  My mom & dad and my aunt & uncle were the very best role models for all of us kids who are now becoming the "older" generation.  Whenever we were all together, we had a lot of fun and knew we were loved.  At church, my uncle demonstrated great leadership skills as a Board Member who made sure First Unity Church would always be there for all of us. One of my favorite memories as a child was my uncle next to me in church acting like he was counting all the freckles on my knees.  It's funny what sticks with you from childhood.  He was certainly a wonderful man who will be missed by many but I know there's a big happy reunion in heaven as he joins his beautiful wife and my wonderful parents.  My love will be with all of them forever.

I wanted to express my deep and sincere condolences to your family for the passing of Uncle Frank.  I have long considered myself a full member of your family and not just an in-law and I am thankful for the opportunity to have known him.  Uncle Frank made the world a better place and he will be missed.
