He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and friend.
George was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 31st, 1933 to George and Florence (Rysdon) Moellenhoff. George was the oldest sibling, followed by his dear sister, Betty. In 1958, George married
Ruth M. Ostermeier. Together they raised four children; Cheryl, Deborah, Mark, and Christine. Ruth passed away in 1988 after battling cancer for many years, with George by her side. In 1989, George married Virginia (Warzeniak) Winter. For more than 32 years, they have shared their faith in the Lord, their love of travel, and their love for their family. George stayed by Ginny’s side until she passed away in
November 2022. God truly blessed George by giving him two incredible wives.
George served in the Air Force during the Korean war years. In the service, he was trained in radar electronics. He took that knowledge and interest in electronics and turned it into a successful career that lasted 30 years. Most of all, he had a deep faith and love of Jesus Christ. His specific passion was in evangelism and sharing the word of God which he did up until his very last days. George will be dearly missed by family and friends. God blessed us all by putting George in our lives.
George is survived by his sister Betty (Moellenhoff) Portell, his children Christine Brown and
Mark Moellenhoff, his step-children Linda Deupree, Janet (Bill) Hetzler, Bruce (Mary) Winter, Mike (Linda) Winter, his grandchildren Rob (Kelly) Perrine, Nick Perrine, and Andie Brown, his step-grandchildren Derek Deupree, Jen Cross, Molly (Mike) Fontana, Jared (Jessica) Winter, Max (Jamie) Winter, and Justin Winter, his great grandchildren Bailey and Holly Perrine, step great grandchild Billy and James Cross, and Michael and Vince Fontana, Jillian and Jenna Winter, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A visitation for George will be held Saturday, April 5th, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St John's Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco, Arnold, MO 63010. The Funeral service will be celebrated immediately after the visitation on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St John's Lutheran Church.
Interment St.Trinity Cemetery to follow.
