Gerri, Hebrew name Glidah, was born in St. Louis, Missouri as the youngest child of Maurice and Esther (Heisler) Sakowsky. A longtime Resident of The Gatesworth at One McKnight Place, Gerri was a lifetime member of United Hebrew Congregation. She was an avid Bridge player and accomplished Senior Olympic Champion in Tennis and Racquetball. Everyone’s favorite Red Head, Gerri had an amazing sense of humor and boundless, positive energy. She loved to dance. Gerri lived life to it’s fullest, found the best in everyone and will be sorely missed.
Visitation Monday, June 3, 9:30 am at UNITED HEBREW CONGREGATION, 13788 Conway Road, St. Louis, MO 63141, followed by Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment. Memorial contributions preferred to UNITED HEBREW CONGREGATION or to a charity of your choice.
