Gerelyn was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 17, 1941. She was predeceased by her parents, George Patrick Hollingsworth and Evelyn Gertrude Hollingsworth.
Gerelyn was an alumna of Guardian Angel School, St. Teresa's Academy, Ursuline Academy of Paola, Kansas, UMKC, and Washington University of St. Louis.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Weil of Saint Louis, Missouri, by her son and daughter-in-law Nicholas and Gina Weil of Washington, D. C. and by her sister, Gail Hollingsworth, of Saint Louis.
