Helen Joyce Goldschmidt Stehly

Loving wife of the late William D. Stehly; dear daughter of the late Joseph Goldschmidt and Lillian Major; dear mother and mother-in-law of Capt. Daniel W. (Ellen), Rev. Msgr. Dennis R. (pastor of Ascension Catholic Parish), David J.(Claudia), Mary H. (Steve) Fox, Margaret L. (Ronald) Petty, Richard J. (Alice), and John C. (Laurie) Stehly; dear grandmother of Jacqueline, Jennifer, Peter, Joshua, Joseph, Colleen, Philip, Daniel, Elizabeth, Matthew, Rebecca, Anna, and Ryan; dear great-grandmother of 23; dear sister of Marian “Tiny” (the late Vince) Byrne; our dear loving aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Helen was a dedicated teacher at St. Peter’s School in Kirkwood for over 25 years. In retirement Helen stayed active with many church ministries at Holy Infant Catholic Church in Ballwin.

The family would like to thank the numerous caregivers at Laclede Groves Care Center and all the members of LSS Hospice team for their compassionate and professional care given to Helen.

Services: Visitation on Tuesday, January 12, at the Church of the Ascension, 230 Santa Maria Dr., Chesterfield from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 noon.

Interment Private Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shrine of St. Rose Phillipine Duchesne, 619 N. 2nd Street, St. Charles, MO 63301 appreciated.
