Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Sylvia Schwartz. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dianne Schwartz; his loving children, Scott Schwartz (Melissa) and Dana Schwartz; his adored grandchildren, Darcy, Mason, and Sofia Schwartz; his sister, Gloria Starr; and his niece, Stacy Carey (Brian) and nephew, Steve Starr (Jill).
Jack adored his wife, Dianne, and was deeply devoted to his family. Caring and kind by nature, he was effusive in his praise and love for the people close to him. Jack found his greatest happiness spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Bixby. Warm and outgoing to the very end, he was still making new friends even in his final year of life.
Jack grew up in University City and graduated from Washington University before building his own real estate business, buying and managing apartment buildings and undeveloped land across the St. Louis area. He brought to his work the same steadiness and care that defined the rest of his life.
Above all, Jack will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was deeply proud of his family and treasured every moment spent with them. His warmth, kindness, and presence will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
