Jackie cherished being with her people. She found joy in the river, fishing, jeeping, camping, sharing good food, laughing with friends, and enjoying music. She lovingly cared for her plants, collected rocks wherever she went, and marveled at the beauty of nature. Above all, her greatest joy was her family — especially her children and grandchildren.
Jackie loved telling stories of her childhood on the West Coast, often sharing memories of adventures with her parents and sister as they explored the woods, mountains, and deserts together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Wilma Morrow, and her husband, Paul (Skip) Besser Jr. Jackie is survived by her children, Robin (Mark), Becky, Paul (Anne), and Bob (Nicky); her sister, Donna Jones; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her cherished Christmas cactus.
Her adventurous spirit and deep love for family leave behind a legacy of love, laughter, music, and stories that will be told for generations.
Private Family Services with a Celebration of Jackie’s Life to be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation.
