Ernie leaves behind his son, Jamie (Kristina) Wright, his siblings; Joseph (Doris) Wright, Judy (Dyke) Knackstedt, and Christina Bova. Ernie also leaves behind his grandchildren, Casey and Jaime Lynn Wright. He was an uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Ernie was a simple man who enjoyed a simple life. He enjoyed riding his bike to the local park where he could spend the day fishing, and probably listening to his classic rock-n-roll. In his free time, Ernie liked to draw and doodle. Ernie served proudly in the United States Army.
Friends and family may gather on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel. 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri. Following the gathering will be a Memorial Service at 1:30 PM. Ernie will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri where Ernie will receive Full Military Honors.
