Their bond was a cornerstone of her life, marked by unwavering support and shared adventures.
Janet was a woman of many talents and interests. Her hands were rarely still, finding joy and expression in the intricate art of hand-sewing. She also delighted in the warmth of her kitchen, where her baking brought comfort and smiles to her family and friends. Beyond these domestic skills, Janet possessed an adventurous spirit and a formidable work ethic that led her down unconventional paths. She spent several years working in a sawmill in Montana, demonstrating an aptitude for demanding labor. Her commitment continued for 13 years as a hoisting engineer on a road crew, a role typically dominated by men, where she expertly operated heavy equipment, showcasing her strength, skill, and pioneering spirit.
Janet and George built a rich life together in Judith Gap, Montana, residing there for two decades. During these years, they found immense pleasure in the rugged beauty of their surroundings, often embarking on exhilarating snowmobiling excursions and enjoying the tranquility of watching wildlife from their own front yard. In 2013, they returned to St. Louis, Missouri, to be closer to family, carrying with them a lifetime of cherished memories from the Big Sky Country.
