Those left behind to cherish her memory include; her beloved husband, John Cassidy, her son, Matthew (Maggie Spring) Cassidy, a half-brother, Chuck Wilson. Joyce was a sister, an adoring aunt, a cousin, and a friend to all that knew her.
Joyce always put her family first because they were the most important to her. She was also a friend to all with a welcoming personality. Joyce was known for giving more to others than she received. She was very thoughtful about friends, family, and her pets. She would often host Christmas and other Holiday parties where she had the opportunity to show off her baking skills. It was perfect that her birthday was the 4th of July so everyone could celebrate with her. Joyce loved being involved with functions at her sons High School, CBC and also the Parish she belonged to St. Richards. She was co-chair of the Advent program, one of the largest events, at St. Richards parish that she helped run for 15 years. She often traveled to the warmest places such as beaches, with her husband John. Since Joyce loved the outdoors; she would try to catch a show at The Muny in Forest Park. As a recruiter, Joyce spent most of her life helping others find better career opportunities.
