I'm sorry I am posting this late. It's hard to figure out exactly what to say because there are so many great things that can be said about Grandma June.  She was an amazing person and I will miss her tremendously. When I look back, many of my oldest and best memories were of spending time with her and my family in St. Louis. I looked forward to seeing her every year and cried every time I left. We had so many great times playing board games and dice, going bowling,  and just sitting around laughing. She was always so generous and caring and she cared about her family and friends more than anything. Along with my mom and dad, Grandma June taught me more than anyone how to be a good person and treat others. Years ago she gave me half of a rock to take home with me when I was sad about leaving St. Louis. She kept the other half. She said that way, we will never be apart. I still have that rock and you'll always be with me. I will miss you more than I could ever have the ability to put into words.  I love you Grandma June.

I could write a book describing the numerous, wonderful traits my mother-in-law possessed.  June was the most selfless, caring person I think I have ever known.  Although I was planning to write several things, I think I can sum it up by stating the world is a better place because June was here.  Thank you for my wonderful wife, Sherry.  She has all your wonderful traits and she is my best friend.  We will miss you.  Love you, Bob.

I admire so many things about my grandmother. She was one of the most lively, fun-loving, charismatic people I've ever met. Her laugh was contagious and she was the type of person who other people were drawn to because of her positive energy. She could find the fun in any situation. She was an extremely loving and caring grandmother, an amazing mother (which is apparent by how her own children turned out), and an all around exceptional woman. She has touched so many lives and words can't even begin to describe how lucky I feel to have been able to have her as my grandma.

50 years ago you married my dad and I was blessed to have a mother again.  I have lots of fun memories growing up  and also as an adult. You were an awesome grandmother to  Katie and Philllip. Many of the things I did with my own family were traditions you did for our family. Coming to St. Louis will be so different without you.  You will be greatly missed but I am thankful that you are now at peace.

For as far back as I can remember, I couldn't wait to travel to St. Louis to see Grandma June during the summers and Christmas holiday.  I have so many wonderful memories of all of our times together, always laughing and happy.  Grandma June made everything so much more fun, and I treasure all of the memories I have with her.  It upsets me to think that my children will never know their great grandma, but I know that Grandma June will live on in their lives through the traditions that she taught me growing up as well as through all the stories I will tell them.  I will miss her so much, but I am grateful that I got to have 32 years with her.

You know more than anyone else what a special person June was.  You, being her family, have been blessed to have her in your life for so long.  I know you have many precious memories and feel her love in your heart.  Please keep her love alive.

June, I will miss knowing you on this planet. You were the most fun person I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. You took me and my crazy family into yours when John and I married and helped me understand your crazy family . You helped me in many ways you will never know! Peace be with you Love. I will always remember you and hold you in The Highest Regard. Say hi for me to my Mom and Dad and brother Bobbie, George and Richard Soukup. Gigi and Ellis, Uncle Ed.   Sue Edwards and family. You all are in my heart and soul forever!

My grandmother was much more than just that.  She was my best friend, my role-model, and my hero.  She taught me, as well as everyone else she knew, how to love life and make the most of each day we have on this earth.  She knew how to turn any frown into a smile and her laughter and smile could brighten the darkest of days.  Grandma June made the world a better place, and her legacy will live on through those whose lives she touched.

I want one more day, one more touch... While I don't understand why God chose to have you leave us so soon, I will remember not that you died but that you lived and that we have so many memories too wonderful to forget.

I was extremely lucky to have a wonderful mother and fantastic best friend rolled into one person.  You taught me so many great qualities.

Mom, you taught me to "treat others as you would like to be treated".  To think about how the other person would feel.

Mom, you taught me that "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".  That words can hurt and cannot be taken back, so it is better just to be quiet.

Mom, you taught me that "you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar".  If you are kind and caring, the response you get will be kind.

Mom, you taught me "never go to bed angry".  I wore Bob down many times but we managed to work through our problems and sleep peacefully.

Mom, you said we all make mistakes but if we learn something from our mistakes it really wasn't a mistake at all.

Mom, you taught me to have fun, to laugh at myself.  We have had so many great times.   Getting lost going to Indiana and we were only crossing the JB Bridge.

Mom, Because of you I have become a better person.  I try to follow your example and always be kind, thoughtful, caring, loving and compassionate.

I hope to have passed these characteristics along to Jess and Meg.  I am so proud, happy and lucky to have had you for my mom.

Mom, Thank you for our time together.  You will always be with me.

You were a special person and we're all going to miss you very much. You meant so much to so many people during your life. You were always there to provide help to everyone who needed it. Looking back on our lives, I now realize the sacrifices that you were willing to make to ensure that others always had whatever they needed.
 
-When Sherry and I were little kids, we never felt like we were lacking anything even though I now understand all of the things that you must have done without in order to make this happen. 
-You and Dad raised 7 kids, who are all better people because of your love and guidance.
-It was only later in life that I realized how you and Dad must have sacrificed a lot in order to make sure that the money was there to help me pay my way through college.
-When JoAnn and I moved away because of my job, you always made us feel welcome when we came “home” to your house.
-You demonstrated again what a wonderful, unselfish person you were with the excellent care that you provided for Dad, Gram, Gramps and Louie toward the end of their lives. 

The most amazing thing is that you did all of this with no complaints while brightening the day of everyone you were with. Because of you, a lot of people have had much better lives than they would have had without you.

When I lost my mom at 18, June took over that role without a second thought. She was there for me before I even became an official part of her family. Everything I learned about being a mother I learned from her. Her sense of humor and love for life was contagious. No one could make me laugh as hard as June! I am mourning the loss of my second mom but I will always have her laugh and the things she taught me in my heart. I will miss her so much but I take comfort in knowing she is at peace now.

Grandma June was a great woman, she always had jokes and a wonderful spirit. Every time we (The Dauernheim Family) came to visit I knew she was going to give me something to laugh about. A very humble person and opened to life. It's been sad to hear this, I wish I was able to see her one more time. Thank you for the memories,God bless

June was my friend my whole life.  Our families were dear friends.  I'll miss her smile and all the silly songs and laughs that we enjoyed together.  She was a dear friend and a wonderful person.  She and George raised a wonderful family.  She was a fantastic, loving mother.  I'll miss her terribly and hope to keep in touch with her family.

I will miss June's smile and love of fun.  She was my neighbor for 25 years and during that time we share many good times and helped each other through the difficult ones. She amazed me with her energy and love of life. She will be greatly missed.
