Blessed with 98 wonderful years of life. Caddy was born in Taylorville, Illinois, on October 5, 1921. She married her beloved Bob in 1944 and celebrated 59 years of marriage with him before his death in 2003.
She was the treasured mother of Susan O’Leary and Janie McCabe. The loving mother-in-law and friend of Denny O’Leary and Denny McCabe.
Caddy was deeply loved by her grandchildren, Jim (Mandi) O’Leary, Cadey O’Leary, Ryan (Vanessa) McCabe, Amy (Joe) Geraci, Ellen McCabe, John (Beth ) O’Leary, Susan (Michael) Ciapciak, Molly (Jeff) Domark, Kevin (Alison) McCabe, Laura (Nick) Uhl.
She was “Grandma Caddy” to 31 great-grandchildren - Kathryn, Emily, Joe, Genevieve, John and Charlotte Geraci, Jack, Lindy, Tim and Peter Domark, James, Lucy, Peter, Jack, Patrick, Henry and Grace O’Leary, Ned, Will, Nora, Charlie and Lottie Ciapciak, James, Lucy, Joseph, Maura, Hanna and Kyle McCabe, Bobby, Scarlett and Evelina Uhl. Caddy was a loving and faithful daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, friend, neighbor, and the patroness of bargain shoppers.
She frequently led the rosary before daily Mass and also started a group of faithful supporters of McDonalds and Duffy’s. She was always a quiet, gentle presence, calling little attention to herself, yet she was always “there” at the right time, with the right words and the perfect gift for any occasion.
Mother believed in smiling at people and bringing joy by complementing complete strangers. She was especially attracted to babies and children whom she seemed to mesmerize with her expressive face and voice. “Make Someone Happy” could have been her theme song.
The Hines girls are together once again - celebrating.

Services: Private family services were held with burial at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass will be scheduled for a later date.
