Beloved husband of the late Shirley Schmidt, nee Johnson, son of the late Max and Hulda, nee Winter, Schmidt, loving father of; Lore (Jerry) Doverspike, Karla and the late Jeff Matson, and Layne (Richard) Leavitt, and a dear; grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.
Services: Visitation will be from 4-8pm, Wednesday at Hoffmeister South County Chapel 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. hope Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
