Our dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Leo started his working career with the Wonder Bread company but after earning his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, he spent the rest of his life serving as a CPA with Monsanto, Brown Graphics, and in his own business. Every tax season he did taxes for family, friends, and businesses including pro bono hours for parishes in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and his favorite charity, St. Vincent de Paul. He had a true servant’s heart.
In his retirement Leo enjoyed bringing Holy Communion to patients in the hospital. He started while still in Immacolata and brought Communion to patients at Big Barnes. He started doing this one day a week and increased it to 2 days a week. After COVID, he switched to Mercy. He volunteered at the Heart Hospital one day a week and Mercy Rehab two days a week. He did this faithfully until his fall 2 years ago.
