Lorenzo Zel Tijerina, age 28, of St. Louis, MO and lately of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Lorenzo was born May 30, 1993 in a suburb of Tokyo, Japan, where he lived the first 15 months of his life.
Son of Stacey Tijerina (nee Rebbe) and Christopher Tijerina; adoring brother of Dominic Lucas, Jackson Tijerina, Isabella Tijerina and Zachary Gallo; beloved grandson of Patricia (Denny) McCullough, Vernon (Jolene) Tijerina, Agnes Montana and the late William Rebbe III and great grandson of the late Betty Anne(Raymond) King (nee Kern). Our loving nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Lorenzo was the perfect combination of giving, funny, beautiful, and kind hearted. He adored animals, but kids made him nervous. Making friends wasn't very easy for him, but those he allowed to be close knew his fierce loyalty first-hand. Lorenzo ensured that our door was always open and our sofa ready for anyone having a tough time in life. A lover of music, he was an avid collector of vinyl records. Although on the shy side, he did have a small acting part in a movie that was shot in St. Louis and he also did some local modeling. He enjoyed reading (especially the classics), antique coins, running, Notre Dame football and even high-end skin care! Lorenzo was never happier than when he was dancing, making people laugh, shopping area thrift stores and hanging with his family - especially his little brother, Dominic Lucas who he was so incredibly proud of. He will be missed every single day, and our hearts are forever broken. But we will continue to love him and laugh while re-telling his amazing stories and silly challenges.
A gathering of family and friends for Lorenzo will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, Saint Louis, Missouri 63125, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
