Beloved wife of the late Glennon Bischof, the late William Behrens, and the late Charles Bischof; loving mother of Sr. Ann Gregory OP (Betty), the late Carol (Joe) Candela, Bob (Yvonne), John (Peg), Jan (Jim ) Douglas, Gregory (Denise); step-mother of Dean (Jane), Dennis (Hilda), Joanna, and Rich (Rae Herr), Bob (Cindy) Behrens, and Mary (Ric) Telthorst; and Will, Ed (Monica), Tom (Beth), Steve (Marian) Bischof, and Karen (Carl) Daffron and Chris (Dave) Hester; grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, great-grand-aunt, cousin, friend to many and special friend to the Sparkill Dominicans.
Lorraine (aka Shorty) enjoyed life, dabbling in various sports in her younger days as well as developing a love of music through her playing the piano. While working for Krey Meat Packing Co., she worked and met our father, Glennon Bischof. They married and her life was soon dedicated to raising her six children and then a few of her step-children who came into her life. She had a loving effect on most if not all of her eighteen kids.
Mom enjoyed staying active in her children's interests and her grandchildren's activities, as she found new ways to experience what life had to offer. She loved bingo, playing cards, tennis, bowling, football games, the Cardinals and even cheered the Blues at the age of 95. As life caught up with her, she enjoyed watching reruns of "Blue Bloods", tennis, and Mass on EWTN. She loved her God and His Son, Jesus Christ and especially the young Virgin, Mary, who He chose to be the Mother of His Son. She prayed daily for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, the Church and the World. Now we are confident that she is reunited with her parents, grandparents, husbands, daughter, brother and so many friends and other relatives who have gone before her. She is blessed, she is at peace.
