was born on August 7, 1944 in St. Louis, MO to John P. and Effie C. (nee Weber) Gibbons. They both preceded her in death. Her travel buddy and eldest brother, John W. (Jack) Gibbons also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Louis A. and Janice L. Gibbons of Normal, IL. Also surviving are her beloved nephew, Timothy J. Gibbons of St. Louis County and beloved niece Julie A. McArdle of Lexington, IL, along with great nieces Lexi, Livi, Laney and Lyndi, and great nephew, Liam McArdle all of Lexington, IL. She is also survived by special friends Terry Warren and Marjorie Amelotti.
Mary was a graduate of St. Louis University College of Nursing and spent many years as a registered nurse at several local hospitals. She then became a professor of nursing at Webster University until her retirement. Mary loved to craft and spent several years selling her creations at local craft fairs and markets.
