Matthew Novack Pierce

The son of Susan M. And Richard A. Pierce, Matt was was born in Upstate New York's Mohawk Valley in the town of Glen. In 1976 the family moved to New Brunswick, NJ, where Matt grew up playing baseball and fishing, and enjoyed visiting family both at the Jersey Shore and back in upstate NY. He graduated from North Brunswick High School in 1989.

In 1991 Matt moved to the St. Louis area with his family and worked in local restaurants. He often gathered with close friends at the American Legion Post 397 in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Matt was an intelligent and hard-working man, well known for his amazing memory, with an exceptional ability to remember dates, events and sports statistics. A great listener who loved animals, Matt was a gentle spirit who will be profoundly missed.

Matt is survived by his mother Susan M. Pierce (Fischer) and father Richard A. Pierce of Andover Vermont, and sister Amy Auman (Pierce) and brother-in-law Michael Auman. A celebration of life will be planned for the fall of 2026 in St. Louis, MO.”
