Mavis Lorene Bodenschatz, age 92, of Wentzville, Missouri went to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Mavis was born July 11, 1929 to Otto and Della Mae (nee Buford) Randolph whom have preceded her in death along with her dear husband of “50” years, Robert Bodenschatz and her son in law, John Kamler.
Mavis leaves behind her loving children, Gail Kamler, Frank (Kim) Bodenschatz and Anita (Dan) Iahn. Mavis was blessed with many grandchildren whom she adored, Don (Sarah) Davis, Heather (Neil) Smith, Christopher (Christine) Presley, Joshua (Melissa) Iahn, and Brandon (Heather) Bodenschatz, twelve great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was a friend to all and beloved by many.
Mavis was a woman of faith and had many hobbies including, embroidery, sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She loved playing dominos and enjoyed putting puzzles together. Mavis and Robert liked to travel, especially to Blue Eye Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mavis’ memory may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association of St. Louis www.act.alz.org or to St. Jude Children Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
The family is planning a private service and burial. Mavis will be laid to rest with her beloved Robert at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
