Nicholas (Nick) Serben, 81, passed away on Sunday January 13, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ann. Survivors include his sister Joann (Dave) Krispin; nephews Nick Krispin, Steve (Elizabeth) Krispin. Great Niece Carolyn Krispin and Great Nephew David Krispin.
After high school (McKinley) Nick enlisted in the Navy and served 4 years on the USS Volador submarine and received an Honorable Discharge. He returned to St Louis and joined the St. Louis Police Department as an officer assigned to the third district. Later he was employed as a salesman for various companies.
He enjoyed baseball, football and was an avid golfer. Many hours were spent as a volunteer with the Veterans Administration at Jefferson Barracks. He played in many golf tournaments for the V.A. And was a devoted gym member.
