

Beloved Husband of Marilyn Liss for 75 years; dear Father and Father-in-law of Michael (Suzie) Liss, Andrew (Franklin Schlerman) Liss and Nancy (Edward) Pevnick; Grandfather of Jeremy, Kimberly and David Pevnick and Amy Liss; Great-grandfather of Clementine, R'Leyeh, Collette, Kitty and Marci; Brother and Brother-in-law of Eugene (late Jacqueline) Liss; Loving Uncle to Bryan (Nancy)Liss and the late Carolyn Liss, Thomas (Karen) DeWoskin and Jane DeWoskin; Cousin and Friend to many.
Norman was a source of strength, stability, kindness, generosity and humor for his family and those whose who knew him. He was in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and as a young serviceman traveled the world. Beginning with his father, and later with his son and son in law they ran The Liss Insurance Agency for 80 years., their motto was “friendly service,” and they always kept a personal relationship with their customers. For 75 years he and his wife enjoyed a loving and meaningful relationship. His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren, his brother, exercise and travel. He was a lifetime learner, avid reader and enjoying attending classes and services at Nusach Hari B’nai Zion. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Funeral Service Friday, December 5, 11 AM at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Blvd. 63132. (Also Available By Livestream) Visitation from 10:30 11AM. Procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for Burial will follow the service.
