Norman Eliot Solomon

Beloved husband of Bonnie Solomon for 50 years; dear stepfather of Gary Solomon and Danny Solomon (Cindy); dear grandfather of Zachary, Peyton, Charlie and Matthew Solomon; dear brother of Lois Rothberg (the late Allen) and Carl Solomon (Elaine); dear brother-in-law of Lanny Morrison (Lynne Nemeth) and Steven Morrison (Goldie Kadushin); beloved uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Born in St. Louis, Norman graduated from Clayton High School and Washington University, where he earned a degree in civil engineering. He was a proud member of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity and enjoyed monthly luncheons with his Sammy friends for decades. After a successful career with many engineering consulting firms, Norman retired from HBE Corporation. A true lifelong learner, he loved jazz and current events, was a longtime congregant at Congregation Shaare Emeth, and took part in several current events discussion groups. He cherished his many friendships.

The Solomon family would like to thank Joey, Debbie, and Glenda from Private Home Care, as well as BJC Evelyn's House, for the compassionate, professional, and sensitive care provided to Norman.

Graveside service Thursday, July 9 at 10 AM at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Road. Memorial contributions preferred to Congregation Shaare Emeth, Jewish Federation of St. Louis, or the charity of your choice.
