Robert L. Kight, age 96, of Ballwin, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. Robert was born June 16, 1926 and raised in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Robert was born to Ernest and Dorothy (nee Adams) Kight whom have preceded him in death along with his brother Norman Kight.
Robert leaves behind his children, Teresa and Brian Kight and other family members. He will be missed by his best friend of forever, Rick Scott. Robert was a father, a brother, an uncle and friend to many.
Robert loved watching his St. Louis Cardinals and would rarely miss a game. He was a servant in many capacities including volunteering at the Circle of Concern Food Bank in Valley Park, Missouri and ushering at the Salem Church in Ballwin, Missouri. Even in Robert’s final act he gave selfishly of himself and will continue to help other through the Gift of Body program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He was known as a compassionate and caring man always thinking of others. He enjoyed going fishing, doing yard work, gardening and would read anything he could get his hands on.
Robert served in the Armed Forces of the United States Army.
