Robert A. Presson

Born on November 23, 1943, in Saint Louis, Missouri, he was the son of Chauncey and Irene Presson (née Thomure).

Bob was a devoted father to Angie (Jim) Rhodes and Scott (Christina) Presson. He was also grandfather to Vivian & Walter Rhodes and April & Savannah Presson. Bob was a significant and longtime companion to Lorena Doss.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenny Presson.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and later served as a St. Louis City Police Officer through retirement.

For many years, he was an active member of Teton Club International RV owners' group, traveling to Teton rallies from coast-to-coast. Bob was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He had a deep love for music and dancing, bringing an energetic joy to the dance floor. He was fully committed to and truly enjoyed cutting and splitting wood for his wood-burning furnaces.

Staying active in this manner - along with Bob’s legendary stubbornness - enabled him to endure with dignity his ailments later in life. He was also a prolific and resourceful tinkerer, always on the go and eager to explore new projects.

Visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM until time of funeral services at 10:30 AM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.

Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
