

SHAW, Robert “Bob”, 90 of Herculaneum and Lemay on passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. He was the loving husband of the late Edna (nee Denoyer) and the late Bonnie (nee Sumpter) Shaw; He was the dear father of Bobby Shaw, Ricky Shaw, Patty (Michael) Wondel, Susan (Daniel) Pingleton, Michael (Jennifer) Shaw, Michelle Shaw, Sean-Michael Shaw, the late Barbara (Milton) Schepp, Judy Shaw and Becky Guion. Bob was brother to Betty Groves, Shirley Denoyer and the late Lester Shaw. He was the loving grandfather of Donna Miller, Diana Wyatt, Mark Mueller, Lorinda Conger, Tammy Merz, Valerie Conger, Robert Shaw, Ryan Shaw, Rick Shaw, Ratchel Shaw, Joseph Shaw, Annie Redman, Blake Shaw, Nathaniel Pingleton, Sara Petersen, Natasha Whitbread, Rachel Shaw, Faith Schulte, Kamala Schriefer, Sawyer Shaw, Destiny Henthorn and Haley Henthorn. He was the dear great grandfather of 36, and great-great-grandfather of 7.
During World War II Bob proudly served his country in the Merchant Marine. He married Edna “Peaches” DeNoyer and together they had six children, Barbara, Judy, Bobby, Rickey, Patty and Suzy.
During those years, Robert worked primarily as a local truck driver specializing in heavy equipment. He also enjoyed other avenues of trade including television repair, small engine repair, and many other “handy” style craftsman occupations. At one point, Bob even worked on and raced stock cars in Missouri and Florida.
After the loss of Edna, he met Bonnie Sumpter and they married. Together, they resided in Ft. Myers Florida with four of their children, Becky, Michael, Michelle and Sean-Michael.
Bob lived a retired life in Florida, where he went back to school and enjoyed his boat, fishing and the many friends they had made. After Becky and Bonnie passed, he relocated back to Missouri and resided in Jefferson County close to his children, and all his grand and great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: A visitation will be offered from 4:00 –8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Hoffmeister South County Funeral Home, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis. The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.
