I worked with Rockne. He told me so many stories! When he went shopping for his mom's birthday presents, he always showed me what he bought her! He even gave me the official recipe for Buckeyes! He will be missed.  Until we meet again.....

We worked together here and there over the last few years and most recently on the DEI committee.  Your sense of humor was always a breath of fresh air.

I am so very sorry for the loss of this beautiful person!  I met Rockne when CIC was switching to a new software & I was an independent consultant he hired to help.  Rockne & I hit it off immediately & have been friends ever since.  

He was so smart, with such a quick sense of humor & always so kind!  Rest peacefully, Rockne.  My thoughts & prayers are with the family as you deal with his loss.

Rockne was an amazing friend. I loved getting to connect with him over THE Ohio State University. Even with my tangential relationship to the university, it still brought me such joy to see his bedazzled The Ohio State cup and to bond over the not-so-kind shirt referring to Ann Arbor that I bought. 

The memory of Rockne that stands out to me most is when I went to y'alls house for the first time. We had been invited over to spend our day off playing board games. Rockne was so welcoming, kind, and funny. There were rocks and crystals all over and he told me about how he had gotten into them recently. I told him how I was interested in the various meaning that crystals held and how I had started a modest collection consisting of one from a friend and another that I purchased with my mom from a crystal shop. Before I left, he had wordlessly picked a crystal out of his own collection for me to take home. They have been on my desk ever since amongst the other crystals that remind me of my friends and family. 

I will cherish that I have this reminder of Rockne, one that represents the loving person he was. I hope to be able to spread even half the love he did.

The world was certainly was better place with Rockne in it. Those who worked with Rockne and called him their friend was blessed by his thoughtful, caring and generous ways. I don't know if I have ever met a more compassionate and gentle soul. Marsha and I will miss Rockne greatly. His positive imprint on us will never fade but our hearts will begin to heal as we know that our Lord Jesus welcomes Rockne into a special place in heaven!

Rockne was amazing. He is dearly missed, and I am so blessed to have met him and enjoy his wonderful sense of humor. My first month at work, Rockne reached out and introduced himself, we shared our love for buckeyes, stories of growing up in rural areas of Ohio, and 'Misery' weather. I'm so glad he found and married his true love.

My deepest condolence goes out to John, and Rockne’s family along with all the people that new and loved him.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Rockne but I feel like I knew him through the love that John, aka JD, shared with me at work. JD would talk about how great of a cook Rockne was and how he would spoil JD with his love. JD would give up the world just to make sure Rockne was ok and comfortable. They had a deep love for one another that you don’t find much anymore.
I know you are all struggling in your own ways right now, losing someone you love dearly is extremely hard on the heart, just know that there are people that are here that care deeply that you can lean on. But most of all, I pray that our Lord God looks upon your face and shines his glorious light upon you. I pray that he opens His arms and surrounds you with love, and warmth and He comfort you in this difficult time. And if there is anything I can do to help you through this painful time, please just let me know.

Rockne was awesome.  He was very knowledgeable and so understanding.  I have worked w/him the last 7 years at Nooter.  I will miss him tremendously, and his witty character.  RIP my friend!!!
