Ron was born December 20, 1936 in St. Louis, MO to the late Clarence Bolhofner and Frances
Bolhofner Kessler.
He is survived by his dear wife, Maureen, beloved daughters, Sandra Bolhofner Young and Tamara
Bolhofner McKennon (Jim), grandchildren Hillary and Jack Young, James, Kathryn and Mary
McKennon as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by his brother, Clarence Bolhofner (Melva) and sister, Marjorie Melker (Carl) and first wife Doris
Bolhofner Gannon.
Ron was known for his beautiful singing voice as he performed in front of audiences since grade
school, and he blessed his daughters by singing in their weddings. Ron was proud to have completed
college while working full time and raising a family – he graduated college in 1980, the same year that
his youngest daughter, Sandi graduated high school. In addition, Ron loved dancing, tennis, golf,
boating and the Cardinals. He found strength in love of his family and friends - and dogs - as he
gallantly fought kidney disease.
In lieu of services, a celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday November 7 at 6:00 PM at
