Ronald Saks, of St. Louis, passed away on December 26, 2025, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Ron was born to Marvin and Delores Saks and grew up with them and his younger brother Gary. He attended U City schools, spending time on his studies, playing baseball & basketball, learning piano, and hanging out with his many friends. Ron was a serious student all of his life--whether it was through formal education (at WashU), religious education (at B'Nai Amoona and later at CRC), or more general education--Ron always sought out opportunities to learn.
In addition to having an innate curiosity, Ron deeply valued being productive and helpful in the world. He used his accounting knowledge (he was a CPA) and his natural intelligence to build a successful business, where he was beloved by employees and was devoted to helping people professionally and personally.
Ron's loved ones held an important place in his heart. He is survived by his wife Sharalyn and their children, Aaron Saks and Katie Saks. He's also survived by his first wife, Marian Steen, and their children--Jocelin Saks (Steven Tindall), April Saks (DJ Radder), and Emily Saks Balestra (Mark Balestra). Ron's six grandkids provided much joy and many reasons to feel proud. He will be missed by Olivia and Jacob Tindall, Zachary and Maya Radder, and Charlie and Liam Balestra. Ron is also survived by his brother and sister in law, Gary and Didi Saks.
Ron was a quiet, but powerful presence. He made a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of many, leaving incredible memories and an impressive legacy behind.
He will be kept in the hearts of those who love him.
Interment will take place on Monday, December 29 at 2 PM at B’nai Amoona Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:30 PM at Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman.
