KOWALSKI, Ruth M. (nee Sweeney), 93, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Xavier Kowalski; dear sister of Doris Sutliff of Gloversville, NY and the late Richard Sweeney and Dorothy Hanchar; dear friend of Duane & Shirley Lackas; dear cousin, aunt, and friend to many.
Daughter of the late Richard and Mary (nee Bubnik) Sweeney, Ruth was most happy as a homemaker and was an excellent seamstress. She and Shirley met almost 40 years ago while selling Avon.
SERVICES: Memorial service 1:30pm Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Activities Room at Friendship Village of West County 15201 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, MO 63017. Private entombment to follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mercy Hospice 1000 Des Peres Rd., Ste 200-B, St. Louis, MO 63131.
