

Mr. Saulka was a decorated veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II and was retired from McDonnell Douglas. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Alton, IL
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Sophia (nee Kondrad), parents Steven and Eva (nee Luchka) Saulka, son Steven Saulka, sisters Mary Kostic, Ann Backer, Helen Sargeant and Charlotte Placko, brother George Saulka and loved one Florence Gummoe.
Surviving Steve are his children Steve (Mary) Saulka of New Lenox, IL, Monica Curran of Fenton, MO, Teresa (Bill) Woolf of Highland, IL and Ronald (Terri) Saulka of Wentzville, MO and his brother Charles Saulka of Prospect Heights. Also surviving are Steve Saulka’s 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral from Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis MO 63125 at 11:30am, Friday, September 20, 2013 officiated by Chaplain Randy Butler, with burial and full military honors to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Hoffmeister South County Chapel.
