Stuart Gilbert Rosenberg

Stuart Rosenberg, born in St. Louis on January 23, 1961, passed away peacefully at home, on August 25, 2026, after a long and valiant battle with early-onset Parkinson’s Disease. He was surrounded by his loving family, who already deeply feel his loss. He will forever be missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, the late Mendel and Sandra (Cohen) Rosenberg. Stuart is survived by his devoted wife, Kathi (Kootman), his loving children, Jamie (Joey) Mufson, Laura (Ben) Wildman, and Corey (Lauren) Rosenberg, his adoring grandchildren, Sydney, Heidi, and Suzy Mufson and Mason, Spencer, and Ari Wildman, and his loyal sister, Renee (Sam) Silverstein. He leaves behind cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

After graduating from Ladue High School (class of ‘79), Stuart earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri and immediately joined the family window manufacturing business, Delsan Industries, which was founded by his parents. After a successful career and having the opportunity to sell Delsan to Owens Corning, Stuart then embarked on a new adventure in owning and managing rental properties across the St. Louis area under the name Jalaco Management, drawing from the first two letters of the names of his children, his true pride and joy.

Stuart had a wonderful heart and soul which his family will always remember about him.

He loved his Diet Coke, red licorice, popcorn, movies, and Sunday night family dinners. He had a quiet demeanor but his one line zingers made everyone laugh.

Almost 40 years ago, Stuart’s mom and Kathi’s mom set them up on a date and it truly was love at first date. The two families had been friends for years so when they started dating it was seamless. They carpooled to Hebrew School together and Stuart confided that he asked their sixth grade teacher at Spoede School to be crossing guards together. The rest is history.

Stuart and Kathi want to thank the caregivers, Chance, Beverly, and Joy who helped Stu in the latter years of his Parkinson’s journey.

His memory will forever be a blessing.
