Sydney Herbert Rodway, 86, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born on October 20, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, to the late George W. Rodway and Irene Woehr Rodway. Sydney was a devoted Catholic, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was very proud of the time he served with the United States Navy as well as the 40 years he worked for the McDonnel Douglas Corporation and Boeing. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family. He particularly enjoyed the summers he spent with his family in Wisconsin, a tradition started by his father when he was a young boy.
He will be remembered with love by his family and friends for his devout faith, integrity and his pride for his family.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 401 S Lindbergh Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63131, on April 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on April 29, 2026, at 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, US, on April 29, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
