Thomas "Tom" E. Reed

Thomas "Tom" E. Reed, age 74, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. Tom was born October 20, 1048 to the late Harold G. and Eleanor (nee Leibold) Reed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jimmy Reed and a sister-in-law, Helen Mull.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty-three years, Cheryl (nee Fassel), along with his children, Heather Reed and Brian (Kelly) Reed. He also leaves behind a brother, Donald (Barb) Reed, and a sister-in-law, Diane Fassel. He was a loving uncle, cousin, and a friend to many.

Tom served proudly in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed playing chess, archery, hunting, and any activity outdoors.

A gathering of family and friends for Tom will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. Following the gathering a memorial service will occur at 1:00 PM. Tom will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO., where he will receive full military honors.
