May 4, 1954 – September 29, 2026
Vinny Ridolfi was one of those special people who made life more enjoyable simply by being in it. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit, and a way of making people laugh. She was fun to be around, genuine, down-to-earth, and wonderfully earthy. Vinny was comfortable being exactly who she was, and that authenticity was one of the things people loved most about her.
Family meant everything to Vinny. She loved her family dearly and had a remarkable way of giving herself to the people she loved. She was there when someone needed her, cared deeply when someone was hurting, and never hesitated to give of herself. She didn’t do these things for recognition. It was simply who Vinny was.
Vinny devoted 40 years of her life to nursing. Caring for others came naturally to her, and her compassion was something she carried not only into her profession but into every part of her life.
Vinny also had a creative and artistic soul. She loved art and loved being creative, always finding joy in making and imagining. She especially loved the family cabin, a place that held a special place in her heart. Surrounded by nature and overlooking the Meramec River, the cabin was a place for relaxing, creating, laughing, and making memories with the people she loved.
Vinny was a woman of deep Catholic faith and a beloved member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and was reflected in the way she cared for others and gave of herself.
Vinny was one of five siblings. She was preceded in death by her beloved older sister, Janice. She is survived by her siblings, Hugh “Rudy,” Daniel, Gene, and Lisa, along with her many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
But Vinny’s love was never limited to one person. She had a way of making people feel that they mattered. She gave a part of herself to so many people, and in doing so, became a part of their lives.
Vinny leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind the laughter she shared, the creativity she brought into the world, the care she gave so freely, and the love she poured into her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Vinny’s life was a gift to those who knew and loved her. But for those who loved her most, it will never feel as though there was enough time.
There were still more conversations to have, more laughter to share, more memories to make, and more ordinary days we thought we would have together.
She leaves behind an emptiness that cannot be filled, but also a lifetime of love that cannot be taken away.
She gave herself to everyone. She left pieces of her heart in so many lives, and those pieces will remain.
Vinny will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to call her sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and loved one.
And for those of us who were lucky enough to walk through life beside her, we will carry her with us for the rest of ours.
