Beloved husband of Jane Trent Perna; dear father of Gina Perna and Tracy (Dr. Michael) Perna Creer; dear grandfather of Harrison Perna Creer; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Vincent received his M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. While in medical school he was elected to membership in the AOA. During his 40 year career in science, he was an instructor in Pathology at Columbia University and the University of Missouri Medical Center; he joined Clinical Laboratories in St. Louis as a pathologist; he worked for SmithKline Clinical Laboratories where he was the National Medical Director and Director of Research and Development. He served his country with the Navy in WWII and as an Army Medical Officer in the Korean Conflict.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 808 N. Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, at 10:30 am.
