William was born March 13, 1934 to Otto and Martha Albertin (nee Wendt). William was raised in Missouri and Illinois and at an early age showed an intense interest in cars. He was able to turn that passion into a career. He owned and operated Albertin Auto Body for 40 years. In 1960 he married the love of his life, Carlene Albertin (nee Ehrenberg), whom he was with until her passing in 2000.
William’s other passion was travel. During his lifetime he was fortunate to be able to travel the globe.
William was a proud member of the social group named The Jolly Boys. They got together for parties, poker, progressive dinners, golf outings, etc. He was a member of several car clubs including the Mississippi Valley Packard Club, Horseless Carriage of Missouri and Spirit of St. Louis Classic Car Club.
William spent his last years enjoying life at Friendship Village in Sunset Hills. Special thanks to Cindy Walsh and Greg Kroupa who made his later years more comfortable and enjoyable.
William is survived by son Curtis (Barbara) Albertin. Grandchildren Lauren Monroy (Andres) and Dalton Albertin (Mary). Great grandchildren Natalia, Leo and Madelyn Monroy and nieces, nephew and friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Martha Albertin (nee Wendt), beloved wife Carlene Albertin (nee Ehrenberg), dear sister Norma Chapman (Albertin), brother-in-law Donald Chapman and niece Linda Chapman.
