

William Leo Napier, a beloved resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on November 12, 1944, in Saint Louis, Missouri, William was the son of
Helen C. Napier (nee Sieferd) and Edward D. Napier.
William married his lovely bride, Filomena Sablas, from Mindanao, Philippines, on April 24, 1985.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Filomena, and his five sisters: Lorraine, Peggy, Mary, Jeanette, and Bernice. William was a loving uncle, cousin, and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Edward D. Napier and Helen C. Sieferd, as well as his two brothers, Lawrence and Edward.
Bill served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 through 1966, attaining the rank of Sergeant E-5. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a combat infantryman.
After his military service, Bill was employed by Procter and Gamble in St. Louis for his entire working career.
A man of great intellect and a voracious reader, William found solace in his books. He often sat quietly engrossed in his favorite stories. William shared a passion for travel with his wife, and they embarked on numerous journeys, exploring different parts of Europe and Asia, creating cherished memories together.
William’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at
Hoffmeister South County Chapel, located at 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM at
St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church, situated at 1126 Dolman Street, St. Louis, MO 63104.
Following the Mass, William will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St Louis, MO where he will receive full military honors.
