
William Neal Saenger was born January 14, 1945, and passed away on December 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester Saenger and Hildred Saenger. He is survived by his cousin Illa Kamp and her husband Alan as well as his Godson Kraig Kamp, his wife Renata and his three sons Quinn, Liam and Nolan. He is also survived by his cousin Katrina Ford-Saxton, her husband Kurt Saxton, and daughter Talia. Bill is also survived by several other cousins.
Bill attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois until he enlisted in the Army Corps of Engineers and attained the rank of sergeant. He served two tours of duty in Viet Nam.
Bill was a registered land surveyor before his retirement. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, and he did volumes of archival work for the National Museum of Transport. He served multiple terms as president of the Terminal Railway Association of St. Louis Historical and Technical Society.
A graveside service for William will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.
