Kim, Young Ja, age 75 of St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully on March 22, 2013 after having a stroke. She was born in 1938 in Pyongyang, North Korea and immigrated to St. Louis in 1969. She was dubbed " The Miraculous Mrs. Kim" by the St. Louis Post Dispatch while she was manager and chef at Louis IX restaurant in Webster Groves, Missouri. That truly represents how she lived her life and how she touched everyone in her life. We celebrate the vibrant and active life she lived.
She is survived by her loving devoted husband of 50 years Dae Hee Kim and their 3 children and their families, her 2 brothers and her church community.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 pm. with service following at 8:00 pm on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Kriegshauser West Chapel : 9450 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, Missouri 63132.
