CATAHOULA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Aldes “Blonco” Boudreaux, Jr., age 80, at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church with Fr. Fabre officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post #1982.
Visitation will be held at Dion Hall from 2:00 pm on Monday until service time on Tuesday at 10:00 am. The hall will remain open all night. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 pm.
A native and resident of Catahoula, Mr. Boudreaux passed away at 4:08 pm on Friday, August 3, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Boudreaux was a retired sugar cane farmer, United States Army veteran, member of the 1948 6-man St. Martinville Senior High state football championship team, past president of the St. Martin Parish Sugar Coop., and member of the Catahoula Dirt Movers Softball Team. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons; Kelly Boudreaux, Sr. of Catahoula, Rusty Boudreaux and wife Gina of Catahoula, Darby Boudreaux and wife Kim of Baton Rouge, daughters; Lana Angelle and husband Chris of Breaux Bridge, Darlene Badeaux and husband Wayne of New Iberia, Susan Hill and husband Jim of Massillon, Ohio, Jackie Broussard and husband Jerry of Catahoula, Leslie Romero and husband Tracy of Saint Martinville, Holly Verret and husband Hutch of DeRidder, daughter in law; Sandra Boudreaux of Catahoula, brothers; Walter Boudreaux, Sr., Alexson “Frog” Boudreaux, sister; Elsie “Chubby” Lasseigne, nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Aldes Boudreaux, Sr. and Sophie Barras Boudreaux, son; Aldes Tim Boudreaux, III, daughter in law; Bonnie L. Boudreaux and brothers; Clayton Boudreaux and Carroll Boudreaux.
Honored to be pallbearers will be Dr. Kelly Boudreaux, Jr., Aldes Timothy Boudreaux, IV, Matthew Boudreaux, Chris Angelle, Jr., Waylon Badeaux, Dustin Boudreaux, Heath Broussard and Dr. James Hill, Jr..
Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Boudreaux, Tyler Boudreaux, Walter Boudreaux, Sr., Alexson Boudreaux, Hoyt Verret, Tracy Romero, Chris Angelle, Wayne Badeaux, Jerry Broussard, James Hill and Hutch Verret.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana or MD Anderson Hospital, the Myeloma/Lymphoma Clinic.
