David Miller

ST. MARTINVILLE – Funeral services will be celebrated for David Wayne Miller, Sr., age 40, at 11:00 am on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Elizabeths Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and on Friday from 8:00 am until services.

David passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 at his residence.

David was a simple man and a very proud family man. He loved his children and wife more than anything in this world. He was at his best when he was with his family, brothers, sisters and very good friends. He was a natural at making people laugh and always had a story to tell. David was so full of life and kindness, always trying to pick someone up and make them laugh. To know him was to love him.

He was married to his childhood sweetheart of almost twenty years. Together they had five children who each in their own way meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Smith Miller; sons, David Wayne Miller, Jr., Jeremiah Patrick Miller, Hunter Kane Miller, Jared James Miller; daughter, Brittany Nicole Miller; brother, Patrick Miller, Jr. and wife Shannon, Michael Miller; sisters, Charlotte Miller Broussard, Donna Miller and husband Blaine, Connie Miller and Fiance’ Shane; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews (Tyler and Madelyn Smith who he was their “Coolest BoneBone”; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Miller, Sr. and Anges Mae Carline Miller; brother-in-law, Laco Broussard and a very special nephew who he carried in his heart always, Dylan Louviere.

Pallbearers will be Willie Arnaud, Scott Arnaud, Shane Smith, Patrick Miller, Clarence Smith and Monroe Horton, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Miller, Jr., Jeremiah Miller, Hunter Miller, Brittany Miller, Jared Miller and Tyler Smith.
