Dianna Dautreuil Romero

ST. MARTINVILLE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Dianna Dautreuil Romero, age 64, at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Brother Charpentier of Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native of Sulphur and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Romero passed away at 9:30 am on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her residence.

She is survived by four sons, Roy J. Romero and wife Lisa of St. Martinville; David J. Romero of St. Martinville; Paul J. Romero and wife Doris of New Iberia and Michael A. Romero and wife Tiffany of Loreauville; three daughters, Gladys A. Wiltz of S. Martinville; Tanya R. Penn and husband Tim of St. Martinville and Electa McCloy and husband Shawn of Bayou Vista; eight grandchildren, Jacob Wiltz, Alana Wiltz, Misty Penn, Derrick Romero, Zuri Romero, Troy Romero, Amber Romero and Tory J. Romero; two brothers, Dwight Dautreuil of St. Martinville and Robert Dautreuil of Port Barre and two sisters, Lusrita Martin of Port Barre and Vickie Walker of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Electa Melancon Dautreuil; an infant daughter, Laura Lynn Romero; one brother, Elden Dautreuil; sister, Linda Dugas and twin sister, Dixmae D. Doucet.

Pallbearers will be David Romero, Paul Romero, Michael Romero, Jacob Wiltz, Nolan Doucet, Jr. Rodney Doucet.

Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Romero, Troy Romero, Roy J. Romero and Tim R. Penn.
