It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoAnn Boutte Bonin, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at her residence.
JoAnn was born on June 4, 1953, in St. Martinville, Louisiana to the late Anthony and Gladys Sonnier Boutte.
She lived a life full of love, warmth, and devotion to her family.
A woman of great spirit, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was playing a competitive game of Bouree with friends and family or spending an afternoon at the casino.
As a wife, she was a steadfast and loving partner. As a mother and grandmother, she devoted herself to her family with boundless love and care, leaving a legacy of affection and strength. She was also a cherished sister and friend, always ready with a listening ear and a helping hand. Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Nelson Joseph Bonin; one daughter, Sophie Bonin; two granddaughters, Claire Picard and Gracie Picard and three brothers, Thomas Boutte, Norman Boutte and Marty Boutte.
Her passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her love will continue to guide and inspire us.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Coteau Holmes Community Center with Pastor Tony Ransonet officiating.
