Jules was born August 31, 1928 in Cypress Island to the late Cleo Babin and the late Edmae Champagne Babin. He was known by many as a kind man that offered a smile to anyone he met. He was the type of person that never met a stranger. To laugh was to know Jules as well. He was a jokester and enjoyed being able to make someone laugh as well as have a good laugh for himself. One of his favorite pastimes was dancing to Cajun French music. Jules will always be remembered for being a kind and generous man and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his three children, Clifton Babin, Jules Babin, Jr. and Edmae Babin; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear wife, Inez Simon Babin; his son, Leonard Babin; and his siblings.
A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date, with Jules being laid to rest with his wife at St. Michael’s mausoleum in St. Martinville.
