Born September 21, 1967, Kyle Jude was the youngest of eight children born to Georgia Longon Pellerin and the late Arthur J. Pellerin. As a young boy, Kyle was raised in a family steeped in cajun heritage and rich in faith. He spent his youth playing baseball and other sports, fishing and crabbing on his grandparent’s property, and helping his dad at the family gas station, Pellerin Shell.
His faith was also a very important part of his upbringing. Kyle carried that faith throughout his 55 years, faithfully attending mass as St. Marcellus Catholic Church, St. Peter's Catholic Church, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He volunteered his time at the Adoration Chapel and with anything the church needed. He was also ready to help anyone in need and was the kind of man that never met a stranger.
His work career spanned many years and brought him to various oilfield companies in the Acadiana area such as Chart, Bagwell Bros. and Shaw. He was a hard worker and took pride in his job. Kyle was also very handy and enjoyed fixing anything you brought him.
Above all, Kyle will be remembered for his faith and love of devotion to his children and family. His children were his heart and world and he loved them with every fiber of his being. May his soul and the soul of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Braiden Pellerin and Nevaeh Pellerin; his dear mother, Georgia Longon Pellerin; his brothers and sisters, Glynn P. Pellerin (Suzanne), Debbie P. Thiboeaux (Kenneth), Sandra P. Breaux (Sonny), James Pellerin (Robbie), Keith J. Pellerin and Angela P. Landry (Larry); a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and his dear friend, Penny Segura.
Along with his father, Kyle is preceded in death by his infant sister, Mona Pellerin; and his grandparents, B.J. and Estelle Pellerin, Paula Longon Bodin, Eddie Longon and Otis Bodin.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church Hall from 8:00 am until 9:15 am, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 9:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following the Rosary at 9:30 am at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Kyle will be laid to rest with his father in the church cemetery.
